At the heart of it, I’m a person, just like you. I happen to have an amazing, albeit unconventional, life that I wouldn’t change for the world. Married, two kids, successful business – I really do have it all! Yet some days are harder than others, and sometimes my life involves challenges and struggle. From the outside, looking in, things are perfect. But things are seldom what they seem in the real world. So I invite you to come, read my musings, laugh and cry with me as I try to navigate the craziness that is my life!
Jen, I just found this while checking out your blog. .. we are “friends” on facebook. I love your attitude for helping people and share it. I discovered you when you were featured in the top 10. . . ? years ago. I’ve been drawn to your personality and the fact that you and your husband were the first successful husband/wife team that I had heard of. So I “check you out” when I have time.
Jason and I are considering going to the One Conference this fall, it’s in our home state so childcare would be easy for us. Jason is the forum administrator for Black River Imaging here in Springfield, our photo biz is “on the side” but we still want to be the very best we can be.
So tonight I’m sitting here with my head spinning because we are about to launch a new website and I’m a perfectionist and the whole thing is stressing me out. So I came to you for inspiration and encouragement. I’m getting a “mommy night” tonight. Jason is taking our 3 little ones (7 yrs., 19 mos., and 3 mos.) out of the house for a few hours so I can regain my sanity. I’m going to spend some of the time reading about your “unconventional life”. Thanks for sharing it. Be blessed!

Wow, that is SOOO true! Kudos to you for sharing your life in such a transparent, real way.
I’ve just found this blog, from your business blog – I’ve been a fan of your work for a while now, but haven’t clicked into this before. My loss! You’re now added to my blogroll and RSS feed. You write so well, so elequently and so honestly. From one (just starting out) photographer, wife and mum-of-2 to another, thank you for sharing the private parts of your life with us here.
Love what I’ve read so far, how you share your heart & soul. Glad to find you in the personal blog world. I discovered it by following a referral link to my blog, so THANKS for having mine on your blogroll. Don’t know if you remember, but my husband and I met you & Steve briefly at Imaging USA in Nashville (2009, right?) and liked you both immediately.
